Jimmy Williams

Jimmy Williams Music 1990

Jimmy is a native of the small Appalachian town of Woodsfield, Ohio. From an early age Jimmy loved singing and entertaining the folks around him. His mother Sue (Emery) Williams and her friend (Connie Smith, a country music artist) are a couple of the influences that helped Jimmy lead to singing. Jimmy is no stranger to the music business. He started at the age of 7 and by the time Jimmy was 16 years old he had his own band and was opening shows for head lining country music acts such as Conway Twitty, Janie Frickie and Randy Travis, just to name a few. At the age of 19 Jimmy was signed to a Nashville label Gallery II Records. He released his first single (Holdin' a Good Hand) in January of 1990 where it debuted at 76 on the National Cashbox music charts. It went all the way to number 7 on the national independent charts. Billboard National Trade Magazine describes him as a convincing vocalist that must be heard. Now Jimmy in his middle aged years has fun entertaining seniors at assisted living and nursing home facilities across the nation. He said, "Its time to give back." I'm sure your facility will enjoy the show
