Story

ive been practicing guitars and bass for around 10 years on and off but only started to take the whole thing a bit more seriously about 2 years ago.. so im still new to learning everything, i make my own tracks to play over, as im not really fond of covers. im constantly trying to improve my flow. i struggle reading music and have never had lessons. but i do like to improvise with music. i enjoy putting sounds down that are new and exciting, and im just looking to share ideas and thoughts with you folks.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

music is a escape, i dont have a very active social life, and always feel like music is a friend.... it answers when i call and vice versa, it releases a lot of bad tension and gives me a way that i can express myself without judgement. its just cool as hell. :)

What is your music dream?

my music dream is to make a track that sounds awesome...from begining to end, using all the instruments.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

hahahaha!!! love this question. if i could change the world, what would i start with..... ok.... i would DEFINITELY start with egos and greed... jelousy.... hate... OOOoooOo..... the list goes on and on. lol

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

et tu le monde by megadeth, it was the first song that got me into rock and metal, which then got me into guitars... but the first song i actually remember from childhood is to hard for me to answer. there where so many... i grew up in the 80's so your guess is as good as mine. top of the pops was a regular thing in my parents house, and we used to listen to the radio charts every sunday.... so all of them i guess. lol

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Megadeth and Prodigy are my number ones... but literally everything inbetween, im currently going through a lo-fi, nu-jazz & downtempo phase at the moment. sooooooo...... yeah, everything... lol

What inspires you to make music?

hmmmm good question... what inspires me? erm.... i would say... that exploring music inspires me, i like to be creative with music. and the thought of discovering new sounds on my guitar speaks volumes to me... there is still so much i havent discovered yet. and every day is a new adventure with my axe.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

my message is simple... enjoy music in any way you can, doesnt matter if your new to playing or a seasoned professional, its the journey that drives us... doesnt matter if you play an elastic band on a cigar box or you play two harps at once... just enjoy where it takes you.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

only ever tuned up a guitar for a band on stage in a bar... i was about 17 at the time and nervous as hell, so i cant really say, but i guess i would be kind of jittery to start with.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

better access to the music 'world' a lot of radio stations and open mic nights require you to have a really good 'set' before your allowed to perform or release your music... i think DROOBLE is a wonderful platform for new musicians to get their ideas heard.

What do you think of Drooble?

brilliant, absolutely fantastic... a really solid platform for all the new and old artists to get there music heard. obviously it will only get better and pick up more popularity, but as it is now.... very cool indeed... i WILL be recommending it to all my guitar buddies.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

not being able to understand theory, and having some form of dyslexia, its quite frustraiting, that i have difficultys in spelling and reading. i have never had lessons or read a book.. i can barely read tab, but yeah, i guess understanding the theorys is my biggest downfall.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

i am an admin for a guitar group on *cough, cough, facebook*... and we try to inspire all musicians, especialy the new players who are just starting on their journeys, we like to promote people and praise them for their efforts and contributions to the group. we keep a fair and civil place, fun for learning and helping other members.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

well i guess that would just be experience... once your familiar with your instrument and you can explore it a bit... then why not let them get their music heard, far to many 'know-it-all' musicians are way to judgey about other peoples music... ive come across a few who like to do nothing but pick out faults in others, "your playing it wrong, you gotta work on that, whats THAT your trying to play" etc etc.... even the worlds best get it wrong from time to time... less harassment more encouragement... i would love to see a window for new musicians to get a taste of the music 'world'

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

ah!!! hardest question of all....i guess The Orb, is not a massively known group, erm.... TQAK, quite an unusual artist... and erm.... thinking...erm.... Carbon Based Lifeforms????
