I am an accomplished musician, pianist, organist and music producer!
Music is everything to me! It gives me joy and hope! When I play an instrument for example, I simply transcend into a very serene and tranquil place!! I simply love to affect others with my music!
My music dream is to compose literally thousands of pieces and record them as well as share them with the world!
First, by making music education a priority in all learning institutions! I'd love to have so much money, whereas I could purchase a piano or an instrument of choice for those who want one!
Fur Elise by Beethoven, which I performed for my graduation class in grade school!
My favorite musical artists are, Herbie Hancock, the jazz pianist, George Duke, pianist, keyboardist, Billy Preston and McCoy Tyner! Also the band Snarky Puppy and Robert Glasper!
My inspiration comes from hearing certain melodies in my head as well as ideas that simply come to me at any given time!!
I love to spread joy, humor and hope!!
I feel very comfortable when I play music, it seems the best way to communicate with the audience, more so than speaking!!
A lot of musicians want to be able to play without putting in adequate amounts of time in perfecting their craft! That certainly needs to change!!
I love Drooble! I have only been here a couple of days upon the recommendation of a dear friend, but I am quite pleased!! You know when you are in the right place immediately! It doesn't take long to figure out!!
I am not quite frustrated as I once were, in that I think I have accomplished quite a lot in my career! There is always more challenges that I am anxious to confront, but am content right now, where I am currently!
Whenever I can, I try to support, but I don't get out as much, because I am quite busy! But when the opportunity comes, I will attend a concert or two every now and again! The last concert I remember attending was at Carnegie Hall with Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock performing together! That was such a treat actually!
Musicians nowadays must have a persistent attitude and be determined to put in the necessary time to take advantage of the opportunities that are available! There are many avenues one can take as a musician to be heard! They just have to do a little research, perhaps spend a couple of dollars investing in their marketing strategies and you will be heard! There is a lot out here now!! You have to want to achieve it!!
Well, there is an organist who I am quite fond of these days! The name is Mike Davis from Connecticut, a church organist in fact, that have an uncanny ability to voice some amazing chords in such a way I haven't heard before! He is quite phenomenal in my opinion! He can be found on Facebook and other social mediums!
