Been playing solo acoustic shows for the past 5 years. Looking to get back into the band world. I'd also look into an acoustic duo too.
Music is who I am. Music gives me peace, takes me to another world altogether where I don't have to worry about what other people think... and how they react... It's my sanctuary.
I'd love to move people through my music.... Whether that's doing cover songs in a coffee shop, or originals in a winery or small club remains to be seen... Still on the journey, and looking for playing opportunities.
Love, peace and understanding... I'd also make human life more valuable like it was when I was growing up. I think that the violent videogame culture and other factors have lessened the value of human life. We need to respect and value other people's differences.
Oh boy... Several songs and or bands come to mind... One of the songs from my youth that I remember is Georgie Girl... Not quite sure why other than I remember it from listening to it on WDGY late at night I think before I went to sleep... Nice song... and 2 influential albums those two would be - 1. Not Fragile - Bachman Turner Overdrive and 2. One More From The Road - Lynyrd Skynyrd. they both hit me hard guitar wise. Love the total packages of both bands.
Cut my teeth on BTO, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, and all the other 70's rockers. Lately, I'm really liking the stylings of John Hiatt, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson and many others
Music is my voice. It's what I do... and it's fun :) I'm a storyteller (and learning more how to do that as I go along.) Love a good groove that gets you moving.
I try to write to/for the everyman and the underdog. Since I'm one, it feels natural to write that way...
I love it. When I'm on, it's really fun... conversely, when you have a bad night, you know it straight away :)
Too much 'pop' music these days... Needs to be a resurgence of rock & roll. Tough to play out there... A lot of competition for a few venues... Still gotta play though, and get the music to the masses.
Still too new to make a real good opinion.... Seems like a nice place to hang out in. I've gotten some good advice... The music is widely varied, which is great.
Lack of smaller coffee shops and clubs that will give the newer players such as myself a chance to play and get our foot in the door...
I would like to support my music scene more... it's tough for me to get out and about a lot of the time :( I get out and hear bands as much as I can...
Good music. I know it's easy just to throw songs out here on the web, but, one should focus on it being a good song first then put it out here.
