I'm a guitarist and songwriter from North Jersey. I'm 21 years old, I've been in several bands and I'm looking to create and collaborate with other like-minded musicians and singers. There are many videos of me playing on Instagram under the name @gunthersjams.







What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music to me, is the voice that I never had when I was younger.

What is your music dream?

My music goal is to be able to play in a band, sustain a living playing our music and to be able to go out and live the dream on the road.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would end the stigma behind mental illness and suicide.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Bruce Springsteen - Growin' Up

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, the Black Crowes, Cinderella, Foo Fighters, almost all rock music.

What inspires you to make music?

I am inspired by the fact that writing a song is the closest thing to immortality that humans will ever achieve. It stays forever, and listening to music is like flipping through a scrapbook of somebody's life.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I just want to present my perspective and thoughts on things.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I feel that this is what I'm meant to do

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I think musicians need to make more money from streaming.

I think it's very helpful

What frustrates you most as a musician?

How little musicians make from their own music.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Absolutely. Buying CD's, paying to see shows, spreading local independent acts

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Honesty is key
