What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is life. It allows me to transport myself and my audience to another dimension. It's my soap box, how I express myself freely and share the message of love and life lived imperfectly.

What is your music dream?

Record an album with Lauryn Hill or have Alicia Keys sing one of my songs.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Music, specifically hip hop and rap. I'd get rid of mumble rap for sure, music without a message is just empty sound.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Betty Wright: Tonight is the night you make me a woman

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, India Arie, Pink, Arrested Development, Babyface

What inspires you to make music?

The fact that I'm still on earth..... with the life I've lived, being here is a blessing, why not write about it.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Acceptance and Love

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Energized, excited and hype. I get an indescribable joy when I perform and the audience can feel that and respond likewise.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

The world is out oyster with the given technology today. Shows like the voice and AGT allow people to get exposure but the show Songland is a game changer for us writers. More shows that put the writer on display would be great!!

What do you think of Drooble?

I think it's dope that you created a platform that allows musicians and artists to get their music out there in a streamlined way.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Not having enough time to create or hearing sounds in my head that I can't reproduce or recreate outside of it.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I support local artists by interviewing them and sharing their art as well as attending their shows and buying merch.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Gwen Miller, Lissa and the Millien, Deacon Lamard, Mary E Patton, Vianney Franco
