What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is the soundscape of being human. It gives me hope.

What is your music dream?

I have this dream that I am an AMERICAN SOUL MUSIC AMBASSADOR, sharing Soul music, in multiple disciplines, with people all over the globe. Then I wake up in Queens. #GotGrants ?

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

If I could change the world I wouldn't tell anyone, so, humility.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

My mom used to play "Hey Good Lookin'" on the album "RAY CHARLES SINGS COUNTRY & WESTERN". Later on I found out that Hank Williams wrote that song. It was the first successful remix during my early childhood and helped me be more accepting of another culture's music, other than the "Motown explosion" & "Beatle-Mania" that dominated my early years.

What inspires you to make music?

The fragility of human life and the unseen energies that guide our paths.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I have been observing human life for 6 decades and have colorful commentary. Please enjoy.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Like I am home.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Musicians must now realize that skill of musicianship or conceptual writing is, currently, not a popular criteria for the music industry. Personal success comes from target marketing and grassroots campaigns.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The music industry.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I host weekly open mics at local bars in the area. I will be organizing outdoor concerts in the local park, this spring.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Qualities & personalities are secondary to a steady stream of income to invest in your music. Sorry, but things have changed. These days, the industry is dotted with those that have little "exceptional" talent, but have the the money for developing a budget for recording and performances...and they have fans that will support them.
