I have been a professional drummer for the past 40 years, keeping the beat for the classic rock and roll band Lil’ Elmo & The Cosmos in addition to drumming for Chuck Berry,Little Anthony,Bowser from Sha-na-na. As a working musician, i have performed throughout the United States at concerts, showrooms, special events, fairs, award shows, Hollywood wrap parties and sporting events. Me and my drums have also traveled to the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer,Norway, Hong Kong and Mainland China and to Paris, France. As a drumming instructor, i am a firm believer that listening is as important as hitting the skins. I teach that a good drummer needs to hear and feel what his band-mates are playing and singing. I also teach that the drum-beat is the heart-beat, whether or not your goal is to drum for a jazz trio, a five-piece rock band, or a 25 piece big band.
