The singing sensation known as J Mega stands out as an originator of smooth, melodious and rhythmic R&B and/or Reggae/Dancehall vibes. Hailing from Queen's Park, West London, with parents of Jamaican and St. Lucian roots, music was always in his soul. His first performances were as a child in the local summer school's annual show and he kept on performing all the way through high school as a calypsonian and active member of the school's music club. After college, where he studied Sound Engineering, he decided it was time to mould himself as an artist and create his own sound vocally and with the beats that he made. Many years later, we stand here celebrating his debut independent release 'In The Dark'. A tale of 'break-ups' with no 'make-ups'. It's a highly lyrically crafted song with smooth melodies and a beat that's both abstract and 'off the hook'. Listening to this one is a must,so don't sleep on it peeps. Music is my life. It's how I record moments in my life. Most people take out pictures to remember a moment. I, on the other hand, write and compose songs.
To work with the best of the best in the industry, perform all over the world, top the Billboard charts and one day headline the St. Lucia Jazz Festival, as well as, Glastonbury and Woodstock.
Free energy and education for ALL.
'If I Gave My Heart To You' by John McClean It's the song that made me start singing and an old time family favourite.

Everything I go through, see and feel, whether good or bad.
Love is the greatest power in the universe and music is it's child.
Like this is where I was always meant to be. There's always a bit of nerves, but it's like an adrenaline rush for me.
Musicians are more empowered today than they have been for a long time, but there's loads of educating that needs to be done in regards to artists/musicians and their understanding of the business side of music.
It's a great platform that I really look forward to using as best as I can.
As an independent artist with a very small budget it's not easy to keep up with artists who have considerable financial backing (from labels, etc). No matter how good you are, sometimes you just can't compete with a multi-million pound/dollar marketing/PR campaign
Yes. Mainly online, via social media platforms, as I'm a single parent and don't get out that much.
Persistence, diligence, patience, consistency, budgeting/accounting skills, swagger and a little bit of crazy.
