Screaming Rock 'n Roll of the old vintage mixed with poor white boy blues, Hippie James delivers hard hitting guitar riffs, catchy sing along choruses and every once in awhile just might have you wondering if this guy knows what year it is. No Death metal or singer-songwriter doucherey here, just funky nasty candy to rattle your head.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

To me music is the only absolute in the universe. When done right it can be the answer to the great question. It can make you feel like you are 10 feet tall or drown you in a wave until you can't stand up. It gives me purpose and meaning in an otherwise meaningless world. I gives me the strength and the headspace I need to deal with living on this planet.

What is your music dream?

My dream was always to be a big rock star, all the fame and money and big huge shows. Expensive guitars and throwing a fit over brown M&Ms. But since that is a long shot I'll settle for just making music and being happy I guess

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Everything. The way everything works seems upside down and backward. There has to be a better way.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones. I remember going to a pizza place that had these robot puppet things, and this one Coyote looking guy sang Satisfaction while shaking/choking out this little chicken dude.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

KISS, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, The Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Ghost, Alice Cooper,Tom Petty, Guns N Roses

What inspires you to make music?

I really don't know. Its just what I do I guess?

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Nothing. I don't have a message really. I just want to get stuck in your head.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

like I'm 10 feet tall and bulletroof

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

bleak. nobody pays for music anymore and there are millions of talented people out here dying on the vine

What frustrates you most as a musician?

A lot of things! Not being able to play/sing something as well as I think I should. Not being able to find reliable musicians to play or record with. And on an on, I could go on all day. You just gotta love music, but it don't love you back very often.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

There isn't much of a local scene here, I share my friends events or new songs online and listen to new local artists when I find them.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

a good gimmick like always
