Head Heavy

Story

Taking it back a bit old school using straight bars in his songs as well as mixing in some new school. Constantly writing how he feels using a laptop. First preforming with only a cheap headset on most of his songs. It was not until "My Saga" when he was able to get a studio quality microphone. Despite not having a producer or anyone to edit his music, Headheavy (Dalton Sutton) has done all of the editing on his tracks. Signing with a free record label called "Any And All Records" in September due to not having the connections or funds to sign with another. Diagnosed with multiple mental disorders like Bi-polar/Schizophrenia/Anxiety/Depression and PTSD Despite all of the negatives Headheavy continues to work on new music everyday and has a goal to reach people who are struggling like he is rather it be with metal disorders or just those who are on hard times. Influenced by 2Pac/DMX/NF/Tom MacDonald and Witt Lowry Headheavy is very active with his fans on social media giving time to everyone he can. Saying "Those who support you will get you to your goal" Now working on his official first album Demons that he is keeping some what secret not revealing much more than saying the album will be released some time in 2019. Until then more songs will keep coming.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music means a lot to me. I have some pretty bad mental problems and music just helps with everything. I listen to just about everything but some stuff is a big no for me for example Kanye West.

What is your music dream?

The only dream I really have is to be known. I mean I dont want the money to be honest, I just want people to hear what I say and hope it reaches people. So pretty much im just doing this because I put in the work and feel music should be more than what it mostly is today.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Man that's a hard question and can be quit controversial so I wont touch this one but I will just say it would be nice if there was more love in the world and not as much hate just sayin.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Oh man I heard it all growing up all the stuff from the 50's and so on. So picking a song is pretty hard but a icon I really love is NF and his song Outcast is right up there.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

I have a lot but I will say NF, Tom MacDonald, Witt Lowry, Ollie, Philip Solo those are just a few to mention.

What inspires you to make music?

Like I said earlier its a reliever in many ways. So I guess I am just trying to do what other artists do to me just reach out and help someone.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

All my music is possitive even if I diss some mumble rappers in a few hahaha, but in all seriousness I just write how I feel and rap it. If it can reach even one person thats enough to make me happy.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Aint done it yet

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Wow a WHOLE LOT can be improved, begin by erasing the whole image idea, I mean all artists now adays think about is the image and not enough on whats important. So much more can be worked on but I wont write a book.

What do you think of Drooble?

A good place so far.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

As a rapper you need to always be rhyming and to keep coming up with so many can get to you sometimes.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Truth....simple as that no BS just need more artists who speak truth and tell real stories in life not fake ones. If you are real more people can relate and you will get heard and seen by more people.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Tom MacDonald, Witt Lowry, Ollie, Philip Solo
