What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is the soundtrack to my life. Everywhere I go, everything I do and everything I touch has a natural rhythm or pattern to it.

What is your music dream?

My dream would be to have a studio in the country that overlooks a lake that people would come to me and capture their thoughts. When they are stuck they would turn to me to boost them with my input.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would want the world to spend more time enjoying the things around them not acquiring the things around them. Sights and sounds, not dollars and cents.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

The song that stands out the most is Your Song by Elton John. I t was the first time I heard a song and realized that with words notes you can convey a message to somebody.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

REM because of the way they use words. In this same line of thinking, Bob Dylan and The Byrds come to mind.

What inspires you to make music?

Hiccups in life inspire me. When something goes off track I seem to need to quantify it and understand it by putting it into words then make it a soundtrack for a backdrop to my life.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

If you pay attention and listen there is knowledge to be had.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Nervous

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I see a lack of soul. Things seem to be too manufactured or fake. Be real!

What do you think of Drooble?

I need more time here to have an honest answer.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Remembering chords and lyrics.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I love checking out local entertainment at pubs or outdoor venues as much as I can.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

I still think they need to get out in front of people and tour but it is important that they be personally approachable and reach out with social media on all platforms.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Some that I am discovering are Joshua Hyslop and Sarah Macdougall. Both artists I never miss when they come to the area.
