Story

I started out with a dream, playing and singing along to Kiss and many other bands of the 70's. On a super cheap Teisco guitar and a Rascal amp, I sucked, I played until I didn't suck anymore. My first gig was the guitarist for Halo back in the early 80's. Then formed Righteous Anger. RA went on to become one of the bigger unsigned Christian Metal groups in the late 80's and early 90's. Disbanded in 92 and reformed in 2007, recorded the album Fun House on Soul Joy Records, but the album was never finished. Differences arose between the band and the vocalist(imagine that). The album was tracked and some basic mixing, but was left at that. Now in my recording studio I am a hobby audio engineer. I know enough to be dangerous to most peoples ear drums. I write and record my own compositions for the enjoyment of it, and possibly will rewrite some of the older rock and metal I wrote years back. I like to experiment with different genres, I am not to shabby on the keys, As I feel the urge and overcome my laziness there will be new music coming out.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is many things to me, freedom, emotional, therapy.....the spark that lights the flame of life. Kills time and keeps me out of trouble.

What is your music dream?

to write a song or songs that people enjoy long after I am gone, a song that lives forever. Collect as many guitars as I can...yep got GAS bad haha

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

My opinions are my own and for a different venue. Here I am an entertainer/musician nothing more

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

the night Chicago died- Paper Lace, Got to Choose - Kiss, Paris is Burning - Dokken, Deuce -Kiss, I can go on and on

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Kiss and REO Speedwagon were huge on me in the late 70's.

What inspires you to make music?

Emotions, sometimes it starts as an idea, a feeling, hell even a bowl movement.....it is hard to explain

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I know some bands want to be political....some environmental. That's great, and it is their right, I tend to just be more positive, or story/fun style......I personally do not think entertainers/musicians should push an idea, lifestyle or political agenda. It is one thing to sing about it, it is another thing to force that down someones throat, not everyone believes in the same ideology or political views. This should be respected.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

best feeling in the world

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

much has changed. Not all for the better either. Let us leave it at that

What do you think of Drooble?

not sure yet, so far so good

What frustrates you most as a musician?

the price of gear vs what you make playing, assholes who do not pay the musicians for their music or performance

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

to be honest, just play. Play your heart out. If it sucks then play until it doesn't. Have fun, and don't lose that fun. Write songs that has a hook to it. The average person doesn't know music theory, they just know what sounds good to them, and it is usually more simple type melodies or progressions, a catchy riff or melody. Some Musicians/songwriters write for themselves....expression...ect, Great, that is a beautiful thing and as well as music should be to some extent. I tend to write more for an audience rather than myself, but the question I ask myself....is this something I would listen to?

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Mamas Boy's, Riot, Keel, Smashed Gladys
