Grace Amos

Story

Grace Amos is a 16-year-old singer/songwriter/musician from Cobbitty in NSW. Influenced by a wide range of artists from indie, country and mainstream genres, Grace initially carved a niche for herself through performing cleverly crafted piano/vocal covers on social media. During 2018, she converted her success on social media into live musical performances and songwriting. In mid-2018, a judging panel, including Amy Shark, placed her as a finalist in the 2018 Platypus Discover Series. Also in 2018, Grace was chosen as a support act for international artist HRVY for his Sydney concert, playing in front of thousands of adoring fans. In late 2018, demonstrating her versatility, Grace won the Maton Guitars Britton Morrison Scholarship, granting her entry to attend the prestigious CMAA Academy of Country Music in Tamworth. Grace has developed strong ties with the Australian country music community, performing and writing original songs with a number of high profile golden guitar winning artists including David and Merelyn Carter, Jetty Road, Lachlan Bryan and Fanny Lumsden. She performed throughout the 2020 Tamworth Country Music Festival, including the Capitol Theatre. Grace has amazing presence on stage and has the ability to connect with her audience through emotion and storytelling. She’s comfortable fronting a band, sitting behind a piano or standing solo with her acoustic guitar. She has the ability to craft unique sets, appealing to different audiences. She has secured some killer support act gigs ahead for 2020 (TBC due to COVID-19), including supporting Australian music royalty Daryl Braithwaite, Richard Clapton, and the Choirboys in the coming months. She was also selected to compete at the Byron Bay Bluesfest Busking Competiton (sadly cancelled due to COVID-19). Grace has also written some beautiful original songs, one of which she recently recorded with Golden Guitar winning producer Matt Fell, set to be released late 2020.
