What is music to you? What does it give you?

It's an expressive release of creativity.

What is your music dream?

To at least have my band be the big fish in a small pond. If it gets bigger than that, Great!

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Get rid of the bankers and politicians... And anybody else who wears a suit.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Music didn't really hit me until I was about 13. My family got cable and with it MTV. One of the songs I remember most is Stryper's "Free". I remember being moved by the guitar solo. It's the whole reason I started playing guitar.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Stryper, Megadeth, Dream theater More recently: Nightwish, Delain, Epica

What inspires you to make music?

The fact that I have total control of what comes out of my guitar

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Life is too short for competition. Make your mark in the world before you die.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

There is no greater high.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

it's grim, but it's always been that way. Being a musician doesn't get you a consecutive paycheck, health insurance, or any real respect from those in your age group. The only musicians who get any of that are the ones who have made it into the big time.

What do you think of Drooble?

It's a good resource for musicians. Unfortunately, there are not enough resources for musicians these days.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The lack of resources for musicians. There's really no grant foundation for helping musicians/bands get started

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Go see the bands, buy their merch, tweet about them.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Luck I guess? This is one I struggle with all the time.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

I used to tour in a band with a guitar player named Halsey Claar. You might say he taught me how to be a performing musician. Check him out with his band HollowStar on facebook. They have a few videos of their live performances posted.
