Stress! LOL! But it also brings me a lot of joy too. Without people like Ray Davies to listen to, I would be lost.
To write at least one standard before I die.
Top 40 radio. Don't get me started...

I'm nuts.
I just want one person to be moved by one of my songs the way good songs have moved me.
Scared silly.
Music needs to be smarter without being too damn pretentious. There seems to be no middle ground between utterly stupid and trying so damn hard to be earnest and smart that everything comes off pseudo-intellectual or pseudo-deep. I've always liked records that were clever, but didn't have to beat you over the head with it. Stuff that's kinda weird, smart and artistic, but still relatively accessible. That's what I like.
Cool, so far!
People who think commerce and art are musically exclusive, and people who think they're synonymous.
As much as I can! I always buy albums that my friends put out and support their projects however I can.
You don't have to be the best musician, just the best at being you. Figure out what your key strengths are and play to them.
