I would reverse the polarity where the dreams of artists would replace the reality of the power schemes of a criminal class.
Not sure if there was one. There are so many. It changes with regularity.
I like the musical movements of the 80s.and then the 90s the Nu Metal and Alternative bands advancing studio production that continue to grow and advance music with new sounds and ideas.
I do it out of a need to survive in an insane world and envision something better.
I think if there was a message it would be to stay free and don't give in to the social engineer efforts at conformity that are being driven by consumerism and thought control.

Bands are being sponsored by big companies to enable them to tour. That tends to change the entire music scene.
Any means that will democratize the individual over the corporate advance is cool with me.

I think there is a demand for good music but there is so little of it available. Putting in the time to create something really worth listening to is probably the biggest drawback. The more successful bands play for the fan and that communicates.
