What is music to you? What does it give you?

I have been completely dedicated to music for over thirty years. It would be fair to say I have dedicated my life to the artform and continue to express myself through this medium.

What is your music dream?

To keep playing, composing, performing and recording.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Politicians.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

To many to mention...happy birthday!

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

A huge range of jazz and classical musicians and bands. Anything from popular music that speaks to me.

What inspires you to make music?

A need to express myself.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

No messages, but I hope people find something in my music that they can relate to.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Happy.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

It's tough to make ends meet as a musician. Most people have music around them but are they listening? Music appreciation has to be taught more in schools.

What do you think of Drooble?

I don't know yet, but we'll see.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Having to do online promotion to be heard above the white noise as well as practicing, writing etc.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I play locally and will on occasion go and hear local artists.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Dedication, focus, discipline. Write for yourself and hope others enjoy it enough to want to hear more.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Nigel Clark (jazz guitarist), I could go on, but I won't.
