What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is the language that I speak. I write and play for myself, and sometimes I'm lucky enough to connect with people through my music. I don't place any limits on honest expression.

What is your music dream?

I guess it would be to write and tour, playing small venues throughout the world.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would have to say bringing freedom of speech, thought and expression to those lacking. The thoughts of each person have value even if we can't always see it.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Impossible to say. Right now, what comes to mind is Seasons In The Sun, or Billie Don't Be A Hero, or Cats In The Cradle. There's just something about a song that can generate such a strong emotional response and the deep connection to the artist when listening to it.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Yes and Rush were always my favorites. I love to listen to a song that takes you on a journey, and IMHO no one does it better.

What inspires you to make music?

Music is very therapeutic for me. Sometimes I'll write a lyric that is very depressing and it actually lifts me up. Other times I just want to relive a feeling or memory for whatever reason.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Not so much of a message as just a statement, life is complicated. All of our experiences, good and bad, are what make us who we are.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

At first, nervous and invigorated. From there it can go any number of ways. Then, before you know it, it's over.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

It used to be where everyone would go out, drink, and have a good time. Now, we have to be socially aware and cautious and safe. There's something freeing about making an ass of yourself in public and no one cares.

What do you think of Drooble?

Too new to it to say, but in concept it's a great platform. I'm looking forward to exploring its potential.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

COVID - 19! Also, technology. Sometimes technology is the most freeing tool around, and other times it can be so burdensome that it just kills the vibe of an otherwise great session.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yes. I go to shows when I can and have done some photography/ video work for fellow local musicians.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Be tech savvy and good looking. I am neither.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

A few of my favorite local artists are Type 14, The Damn Dirty Apes, The Underwater Sounds, James Supra, and my original rock band side project Spider Pie.
