What is music to you? What does it give you?

Yattafunk's founder member, singer and rhythm guitarist. Music is life, I learnt playing drums when I was 3, then I tried guitar, bass and keyboards. I could have a one-man band but I do prefer working with a cool line-up where everyone got his role.

What is your music dream?

I don't really care about fame or money, I just want to never stop to rock n' roll. I like keeping in touch with fans and have feedbacks, I'm not so arrogant to think I am the best.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

More brotherhood is what we all need. And I'm not talking politically correct, I hate it, I'm just saying people are too far from each other.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

I think something from Deep Purple or Queen. Two of the best bands from my childhood my father introduced me to.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Many ones, anyway I should say Metallica, Deep Purple, Type O Negative, Slayer, Chris Cornell, Sammy Hagar's Van Halen, Infectious Grooves and Black Sabbath.

What inspires you to make music?

Music chose me, I can't control it and I can't stop making it. I will never stop. I can't explain what it means to create something that doesn't exist until you write it.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Nothing particular but to enjoy life by creating.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

The best part of me takes shape on stage. The energy, the power you feel on stage is something outstanding.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Who's got money can, who's got no money can't. That's the truth and it's disgusting.

What do you think of Drooble?

I'm just trying. Discovered it right now by surfing the net.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Nobody cares about you and your music, nowadays it's just a barren business. Mainstream music is just a really elegant package. Rock n' roll is no more revolutionary and pop music is increasingly simple and banal.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I try to support local bands by seeing them live and listening to their work on Spotify, YouTube, Deezer, Napster and wherever they are.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

If you're interested in money you have to be aligned with the market, if you don't care about easy money you have to demonstrate you're not like anyone else. As in the 70s or 80s before everything changed.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Yattafunk, Lonesome Heroes and Smoking Tomatoes.
