Formed the band Forty-Five on Thirty-Three in the mid 70s with high school classmates Ferdie Villeza (bass), Jerome Bustamante (guitars and various instruments), Alex Castillo (drums) and Lito Ortega (keyboards). After their high school graduation, the group disbanded due to their residence location issues. From then on, Froilan joined various bands until he quitted in the late '80s to concentrate more on his IT profession. In 2004, all 5 members reformed the group with a new name, The Power of X. This is to differentiate their secular music with Christian music. However, Lito Ortega cannot fully commit to the group due to some personal issues and just offered his help in recording whenever he's available.
