What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music to me is a therapeutic release of thoughts and emotions. It gives me complete freedom of expression. In a world dominated by work, schedules, family obligations, etc. it is my own personal rabbit hole. A world I can escape to that has no preconceptions and very few rules. I can create any mood I feel like at that moment and listen back almost immediately. I never have to wait for the paint to dry.

What is your music dream?

Ha Dream. I mean a dream would be to play Radio City Music Hall. Aside from that I think really I would like people to hear my muse and say " know what? he's pretty good, had some interesting ideas".

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Proper education of our youth including music and art in the curriculum. I think being well-rounded is important. Heck throw in some wood shop, mechanic basics and touch of culinary too.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Wow, now tats a tough one because there are so many. Outside of the box here, Quisas, Quisas, Quisas. - Trio Los Panchos. My house was filled with everything from Benny Goodman to Louis Prima to The Beatles but the Latin American acoustic guitarists of the 40's were incredible and my grandmother put those records on and it blew me away.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Again here way too many but in the spirit of a good interview: Neil Young Traffic SRV Grateful Dead The Who The Beatles The Stones ELP RUSH 1970's Genesis The list could on for a long time.

What inspires you to make music?

The emotional release and they emotion it stirs in others. Music is art in the moment. Th recorded piece is amount captured in the studio/ Live performance are many moments of an evening. Live when you play a note or a chord or a song the moment its done ringing its gone. You gave it to the audience and good or bad you can't get it back. Hopefully you give them way more good than bad but its a very immediate thing and that reaction or passing back and forth of energy in a room is what is all about. Emotion.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I don't really think there is a message. At the end of the day as much as I love playing live I make music for me. It's a very personal thing. If somebody else digs it, awesome but really I create for myself and hope someone else feels it the way I do.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Best ever. That exchange of energy between the people and the player is one drug we should all be on. Sometimes its a bummer but 95% of the time there are magical moments. See how I did that? Back to moments.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I think returnee to more organic recording would be good. To much auto-tune to many studio tricks. Play it straight man the feeling is the most important aspect too much is just cold. And, be kind to one another we are all artists. Better or worse is a matter of opinion. When somebody asks me or says this dude is better than that dude I say nah man they different they do different things. Everybody is not Joe Bonamassa but that does not mean they don't have their own uniqueness to offer.

What do you think of Drooble?

So far I think its and awesome place. A very kind insightful community of like-minded people sharing thoughts, ideas and experiences for the good of the group.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

My inability to be Joe Bonamassa LOL. I think aside from thats words never really come to me I wish I could put the story to what I hear musically.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I am always trying to hit the bars and support the local gang . Hopefully that comes around you know? I've guitars to friends if they need one for a gig etc that goes without saying

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Time to spend banging away on social media. That is full-time job by itself.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.
