My unpredictable headband started life as a Tape recording of a JAM with some friends. Recording live music was a passion that grew to become studio recording and jamming out fresh music at a hell of a rate over 10 years. These are some remixed remastered songs I had kicking around. Hope you enjoy them.
Two questions, two answers Music is and Escape, Sound and mood are powerfull alies. Music is everything A lot of pleasure.
To write some memorable music , I think I have done, some , so "Living the dream!" Some recognision from others asa creative musician. i.e. the abilty and skills to execute something musical in real time.
MY earliest recollections of music influences are - Pinky and Perky, dads LP "Blood on the Saddle" classics like the streets of larado - and a Hans Christian Anderson children’s LP - The Emperors suit of invisible clothes. Nancy Sinatra - These boots were made for walking. Later started to get into proper progressive music and rock, Genesis, Greenslade, Robin Trower,Deep Purple, Black sabbath , Cream, FZ , The Doors and all the derivative bands that followed on from these. Liked some punk, and thrash , reggae and even some rap -everything with energy or mood. "Music was my first love". (John Miles) . Its all good.
Unpredictable Headband (our band), Black Sabbath (played bass in Cover band at WolfStock (Banff) last year., Frank Zappa (my hero), Judas Priest, The Doors, Jethro Tull, Ozzy Osbourne, Led Zepplin, Free, Reef, T S Mcphee - Groundhogs , Dave Greenslade and many many others. More recent likes - Rob Zombie
Just Pick up my guitar, Inspiration comes from many sources, but you must first have the instrument in your hands! ACtually to expand on that - Ive got a few guitars around the place so its never ot far to go to get one , see one or make any excuse not to pick it up n play. Ive been playing guitar for 50 years so might as well keep going learning new things about guitars and sound and music recording and performing.
Open mind to new musical creativity. Love everything you hear if it makes you feel something.
Usual nervy to start but really love preforming live. its a rush.
It is what you make it. Its my Hobby - and much more. Revolution in wealth distribution model from streaming original works.
Its an extension of musoe musicians and artists digital landscape. Some sad AI assisted pish charts and loyalty rewards, in crypo currency, It's fun.
Time commitment from other musicians is not on the level I expect. Less than a jam or get together every other week is dreadful. And that was before COVID19 changed our lives. No prospect of a pop up JAM in some remote location with some ghosts. I mean like lets go JAM in the woods! at the beach or up a mountain. add WEB streaming live- hey !
Musicians I know personally from the local area havn't found their way here yet to Drooble, try to get them on board. internet links, promote, share, listen and check out the sites for all local musical groups. Try to motivate people to get it out there for everyone,
A Loud amplifier? they will hear you further away (larger audience). Seriously you want me to tell you? Promotion, new, presentation, quality, popularity. Ask your friends if they have heard of "Unpredictable Headband". Oh by the way, I named the band after a TAPE made during a Jam which mysteriously double tracked with a live concerto (violin) on the radio- it came together with a violin solo which fitted perfectly on teh few bars of 'Child in Time' we managed to pull together! Weird...
