I've always loved music. I grew up listening to Motley Crue , Poison , Rush , Van Halen, The Ramones, and the Police. As I got older I joined my schools choir and started acquiring my own music taste which developed widely into Nu metal , Alternative metal , and Post Grunge. For a while I was obsessed with bands like Korn , Three days grace , Breaking Benjamin, Stained, and others. After singing for a while I picked up the guitar and started playing in some small cover bands, at the time only singing. covering mostly classic rock songs from bands like the Stooges and Black Sabbath. After joining a short lived Metalcore band I switched gears from focusing on singing to writing music on the guitar. As I delved into my love affair with the guitar rhythm playing and unique chord phrasing quickly grabbed my interest. A few years ago I started a band in Indiana called Lockdown where I just kind of let my writing go wild. As I formed Lockdown I went out of my way to teach myself how to play while singing. We just released our first EP this May and hope to continue playing shows and writing music. This Fall I'll be going to Ball State University to study music media production and hopefully learn my way around a studio. While Lockdown is my main focus I'm always looking for ways to musically experiment and expand and I'm always happy to take any challenge on if I can.
