What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is the one constant in my life. Every memory I have has some association with music. My earliest memories are of sitting in the back of the car listening to the radio. When life is quiet my brain becomes my enemy so I ground myself constantly with music.

What is your music dream?

To connect with other like minded people.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

"Murder The Government" - NOFX

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

The Rock Show - blink-182

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

The Beatles, Green Day, Blink 182, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, System of a Down, Eminem, Good Charlotte, Mac Miller, Biffy Clyro, Black Honey, Enter Shikari, Yungblud, My Chemical Romance, Wolf Alice

What inspires you to make music?

It sounds trite but making music is the way my brain digests the madness of living. Some people run, cry, have a bath, scream into a pillow. I pick up my guitar and process life that way.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

That with the right song that speaks to you, for that 3 minutes you're not alone.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Free!

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Unfortunately it's a world where you'll likely need a second job just to pay for promo and never recoup those costs because streaming platforms don't pay a fair wage. Most unsigned musicians have to fork out hundreds even thousands on promotion to be heard and they'll never make that money back from steaming alone as platforms pay such a small cut to the original artist.

What do you think of Drooble?

I think it's a cool concept that can cut through the over saturation and spam on most social media outlets and help artists organically grow their music and fan base.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Having to be a lone wolf for nearly all aspects of my career. I love being creative, so songwriting, recording, production and performing are great! But then also having to book every gig, lug all the equipment, print all the posters, be the sound technician, run all the social media promo etc, can get a bit taxing sometimes. It's not awful, I do it because the end product of releasing a track and playing it live to an audience is so incredibly rewarding but it can get a little frustrating sometimes.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Oh yeah, love going to gigs across London and keeping live music (especially live rock music) alive!

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Obviously the song is key, it doesn't matter how much saturation there is, if a listener likes your song, they'll listen again. But also being savvy with social media is now vital. You can have the best song in the world but if it doesn't reach an audience it's pointless.
