Eden Katherine

Story

Hi, I'm Eden. I started playing guitar because I just wanted to express to God how much I love Him. I started with an app on my phone called 'Solo' and I would just sing using that, it was only when I turned 18 that I got my first real guitar and started learning haha. I'm totally self taught. 3 Books full of songs later, I realised I was pretty good at this song writing stuff, and this is why I want to share my music with the world. Enjoy :)

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Joy and happiness haha

What is your music dream?

I just want to write people's stories and impact them. I want people to feel something when I sing, whether it gives them hope in a dark place or tears of compassion. I think the world is so full of stories and all people need is a voice for the voiceless.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would start with telling people to love sacrificially. I think we really just need to go back to the basics and love our fellow humans as ourselves. I know it sounds super cheesy and simple, but the most powerful forces in the world are nothing compared to the power of love.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Switchfoot's Dare you to move :)

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Let me think about this.... Switchfoot, Chevelle and Thousand foot crutch... Yeah! Please if you haven't heard of TFK please look them up now pronto!

What inspires you to make music?

People's stories and life... Oh, and the Holy Spirit :)

What is the message you want to send with your music?

"You have a story that needs to be heard,"

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Awesome. Sometimes, I close my eyes and I'm not there anymore, you know? I can't even hear the words I'm saying, it's like I'm transported to another world :)

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I think musicians with talent are made to become some kind of spectacle and have to fit a certain mold. They're told that originality and uniqueness is not important and you should just be popular. That's not right; musicians were never to become products you could sell.

What do you think of Drooble?

Awesome

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Being able to commit to regularly sharing my work! I have random moments where I want everyone to hear haha, but it never lasts.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I go to concerts and do stuff

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Dedication to their craft :) you'll stand before kings and queens dude,

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

You've probably never heard of All is Well music, it's an awesome band my friend is in :) Oh, and me haha
