E3Project

Story

E3Project is an Australian-based cinematic rock band, comprised of an eclectic trio of diverse multicultural backgrounds, whose personal stories feed their distinctive sound. The current line-up is: Al Phillips (lead vocalist, drummer, lyricist) Juan Lopez (electric and acoustic guitarist) Elaine (pianist, vocalist, lyricist, composer) The band was founded in 2010 by singer and drummer Al Phillips, keyboardist Sotir Ivanovski and bass player Johnny Roq. This line-up recorded their first progressive rock EP in 2013 called Mind Odyssey. The band split soon afterwards, leaving Al Phillips as the only remaining original member. Colombian born melodic guitarist Juan Lopez joined E3Project in 2014. The fresh line up was completed in 2015, when an outstanding concert pianist, Elaine joined E3Project and cemented a new foundation for the band. Her classical influences changed the musical direction to classic/cinematic rock. With Al, Juan and Elaine now the core members of E3Project, work started in earnest on creating new material. The debut album for this line up, Symphony of Love, was released in June 2017. The album is powerfully, narrative-driven and centres on the personal tragedy of Phillips, who lost the love of his life after a prolonged battle with cancer. E3 Project regularly play their distinctive style of melodramatic classical rock at venues around Sydney and are keen to get back into the studio to record a new single.
