Sunny Day was formed by singer songwriter, guitarist and producer Doug Jacobs. The album 'Straight to the heart' is a collection of songs inspired by the seventies, mostly written in the nineties and now finally produced in 2017. Doug began performing at the age of ten and has been a professional musician and composer since the seventies. In 1982 he moved to France and worked as a singer-songwriter and arranger, producing for labels such as Polygram and EMI under the name Al Douglas. Writing and arranging for other young artists, and composing for fashion shows and the theatre, by 1990 he was writing and producing film music for French television. With a first in Music, Arts & Health and an Honours degree in music performance, Doug became an authorised trainer for Digidesign (ProTools, pre-Avid) and Emagic (Logic Pro, pre-Apple) in 1997. His work experience has included twenty years of teaching music and film production in higher education, projects for the young, the unemployed, those with special needs and the elderly.
