Dave is the main songwriter for the band, and arranges many of the more well-known covers as well. An eclectic mix of Pop, Reggae, Rock, and Soul, with a bit of Ska and African influences thrown in for good measure, makes the band stand out from the rest. Regular gigs at well-known locations around France and St. Maarten/St. Martin (SXM) have built up a steady following, not only of the band’s music, but also of Dave as a solo artist. The nature of the island, with its hundreds of tourists, ensures an International following that spans many countries and continents.. All gigs are posted up on the band website www.kwenzini.com and on Facebook .Since 2017 the band has not returned to SXM, preferring to stay around Europe. Mr Skin plays nearly every contemporary style except hip-hop and modern jazz and with a repertoire of 230 original songs and some 600 covers, the chances are good that you will hear something that you'll like.
