David Robinson

Music had a hold on David ever since he was 6 years old when he got his first Casio keyboard. During his schooling years he was having private lessons at home and by the time he had left school and started his first job he was experienced enough to teach others. David taught for 5 years while continuing to build up experience in writing, recording, producing and not forgetting to have a good old jam and do a few gigs 3- 4 times a week with other musicians. ▪ David was 13 years old when he got his first regular gig at the working mans club and he has never stopped making music since. This was a great start for him as he played lots of different types of music which gave David experience in many styles. ▪ David has been inspired over the years by all types of artists including : Pink Floyd, Jean Michel Jare, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Beatles and many more. He would look at every track from anyone with an open mind. ▪ David can write, perform and produce all types of music and has done for many years for a wide range of artists and groups. He recently coproduced a deep house track for Fakba`s new album "Queen of Africa". David is currently working on co-writing a funk-r&b album for a brand new artist and more recently created the music for a hip-hop artist, and has also been creating Drum & Bass and dance EDM sounds for the club scene. https://www.facebook.com/Studio.Recordings/ https://twitter.com/DrRecords2017 https://soundcloud.com/daviderobinson https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0mfz53JtWCnKHsKrsqr8Yw

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Great satisfaction and emotions.

What is your music dream?

Selling lots of records is definitely at the top of the list.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

A good song.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Hit me with your rhythm stick.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Pink Floyd, Jean Michael Jare, and everything else as long as it is in tune, in time and melodic with good sounds.

What inspires you to make music?

Not sure. I will put it down to the forces of nature.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

This is me....

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Always a bit nervous but for me, that's where the energy comes from.

What do you think of Drooble?

Very good so far.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Anything out of time or tune.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Most modern musicians need to be good at media and networking as well as playing or you will be lost. I have seen it happen many times. Good musicians sitting at home and not sharing their talents.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.
