David LaFlamme

Story

Started playing drums at the tender age 8 been hooked on music since 4 and has been my passion since I can remember have played in multiple bands both cover and original. I really started writing and composing in 82, My spirit and soul drove me to begin jotting it all down on paper and have done so to this day. The musical part of me thrives on melodies and vocals, You know you have a knack for this when you dream of stuff and wake up in the morning and remember it all day long till you can write it down and let it go. Then move on to the next one, don't get me wrong this does not happen daily but does happen frequently. Life is not the same without it, have had multiple times of long breaks. But in the end still come back to it. Right now starting to write and do pre-production on a new album, with the band, as we move forward will get some more of the new stuff out as we progress.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is my outlet to let all my emotions, feelings, and thoughts out into the universe and lets me get rid of it in a constructive way that puts me in a good place mentally, physically, emotionally and finally and most importantly Spiritually!

What is your music dream?

Just to be able to bring my music to the masses and give me the ability to take on more and keep writing and recording and to just hear that others like it relate to it and enjoy it!

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

We all live as one, under the same sun moon and universe, just give and treat all with love and respect!

Help from the Beatles

Creativity outlet and a good quality chorus that is catchy

Music is universal and from inspiration leads to inspiration!

Love the feedback that comes from the audience and the sensation of the raw energy that you receive in return!

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

It's getting better all the time but more internet opportunities and social networks that cater to and help independent bands and musicians and get their music out to the masses with mass and viral opportunities to reach the masses with there music and reap the rewards from it!

What do you think of Drooble?

I think it is a great platform for the bands and musicians to get their product out to the people and to get feedback from other musicians and peers to help reach the highest level of there potential as musicians and writers to get the absolute best out of each other and have success in whatever the form that they choose!

What frustrates you most as a musician?

That it is a lot of work, and nothing comes easy and is full of pain, pleasure, disappointment, pandamonium, fear, jubilation, just a mass of emotions. For me, these are the real-life moments that separate the good from the bad to the great to the not so great! But molds us and binds us and keeps us coming back for more, because we feel and see the personal growth in us as musicians and songwriters!

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yes, for we all must support each other we all are in this quest together and we must support one other. Buying others music and seeing there shows as much as possible! With support and each other, The trip will be so much sweeter, with the help and support of our peers,( We all need a little help )!

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

The art of networking and the abilities to use all the resources around them to reach out and grab fans from every pocket they can get! Work ethic nowadays is as big as it was in the '70s! I believe, in some ways it's easier and at the same time harder. More work with social media is never-ending, and the recording gear is better and easier.
