David Grant


I am a singer songwriter guitarist who`s head is still in the 70`s , the era of fabulous pop music , unforgettable melodies and music that was fun to listen to . I hope that this major influence shines through in my style of writing . I love music , but it has to get my feet stomping , my hands clapping and my head a shaking .







What is music to you? What does it give you?

Emotional release and freedom

What is your music dream?

To be heard , understood and . After all , I am but one very tiny tiddler in a great big super massive ocean.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would make a law that everyone plays guitar .

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

oooh so many . Yesterday once more - The Carpenters

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

My ultimate favourite band is Queen . But I grew up with Glamrock , so T.Rex , The Sweet , David Bowie and Slade , but the list is endless.

What inspires you to make music?

My guitar .

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Don`t let the buggers grind you down .

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Nervous at first , but very satisfied by the end of a good gig .

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Stop searching for the perfectly recorded sterile piece of music , leave something real in the mix.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Forgetting things when I play after practicing for hours and hours .

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I gig regularly with my band , and see other bands when I have the time .

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Guts to get up and do it , afterall it is what we want to do .
