After having turned my back to music for 10 years tired of the industry, I met a brilliant guitarist who was stuck playing covers but who definitely deserved more than that. we decided to write an album together and we are currently working through the last bits and looking for some good metal singers to lay down some vocal tracks. release is planned for Autumn 2020
Music is an international language. It gives me the opportunity to convey my thoughts and emotions without limitations.
I don't run after any dreams. I'll just ask where they are going and meet up with them in the end
myself would be the best place to start. Lots to do there
The beastie boys with "Fight for your right to party" It was the moment I changed and cemented my music preference to rock and all its influences.
I have no favourites. And if I would have them, they would change every day.
a strong case of ADHD
Its up tho the listener to interporate it in the way they connect most with the music.
the same as I feel washing the dishes in front of an audience I guess. although that would be weird. The most important thing is to connect with the audience with whatever you do. Hence my preference for like smaller venues, where you can gauge the reaction of a crowd and interact accordingly.
I think it is areal shame that so many talented people feel the need to play in cover and tribute bands. In my opinion its a sad state of affairs and slowly killing a big part of the music industry. I really do not want to make anyone angry, Its just my personal view. If I would have worked in a copy shop making copies of posters, Would I call myself a designer?
Bit early for this question... but so far so good
I keep my frustrations to a minimum. not with the time.
I used to run a company providing open stages for musicians jams in many parts of the country. We had many local musicians on the books and some great bands were created in this time. Nowadays it gets harder and harder to find a band that makes original music. I tend not to go and see cover and tribute bands.
the understanding that it is like running your own business. and understanding the business you are in.
