Lincolnshire Arts and Music Bulletin is dedicated to promoting Artists and Musicians in Lincolnshire. We aim to combine the marketing of local art and music, with features and sales of material produced within Lincolnshire. Lincolnshire has a vast Arts and Music presence, and it’s not until you start working within it, that you realise just how big it is. Getting word out about the industry in our county can sometimes be quite intense. So we’ve combined basic Profile and Contact pages with social media marketing, and this is now obtaining results, with exposure both within the UK, and Overseas. This “exposure” has meant that People involved in The Arts from all around the world, have joined us. Please look around, and enjoy this site, and if you are involved in the Arts in Lincolnshire, perhaps consider having a FREE Profile on Lincolnshire Arts and Music Bulletin.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is my life. I've been involved in music since the age of 18 when I took the lease of a Jazz/Blues club in Grimsby. Since then, Ive listened to literally millions of songs, of all genres. I started LAAMB in late 2017 as a local promotion concept with 5 bands. I now have a web site with almost 200 pages, together with associated Social Media, and Musicians from all over the world.

What is your music dream?

Sadly, it won't now come to pass. I was born (and now live) in a small market town. It has a huge church with a very big pipe organ - 18th century I think. When I returned here in 2005 (from overseas), I had this dream to get Kieth Emerson to come and play it. It remains an impossible dream.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Freeing Palestine and reverse Brexit

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

The Ink Spots - If I didn't Care It was the very first record I bought - an EP. It switched me from pop music to the Blues.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

The Nice, ELP, The Beatle, Stones, Small Faces, Soft Machine, Robert Wyatt, plus ALL the musicians who are part of the LAAMB family. Oh, Curved Air Maria Franz

What inspires you to make music?

I'm not a musician, just a lover of music. So I promote what I can.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Enjoy the music I promote

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Nervous - even when recording for radio or podcasts.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

A fight for recognition and to be paid especially for playing live.

What do you think of Drooble?

I'm new on this platform. Still getting used to everything. But it's a really good concept.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Again, as an Observer, musicians trying to get ahead being asked to play for FREE when punters are charged entry.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I own and edit a web site that promotes predominently local musicians at no charge.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Be professional

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.
