Having reunited recently following a five year hiatus, goth and industrial flavored band Das Gift plans to record new material in 2019, in addition to releasing a Pink Floyd tribute album already underway. This all follows their 14 track eponymous debut,which was textured with eclectic instrumentation, odd meters, and bilingual lyrics which drew comparisons to A Perfect Circle, Pink Floyd, and early Peter Gabriel, among others. Including covers from these artists as well The Cure, Radiohead, and VAST, Das Gift's live show is trademarked by the presence of Sharla Emory on sitar and bassist Zach Carpenter's fretless work. Grounded by the percussion stylings of drummer Taran Ware, their live offerings also display the writing talents of guitarist and frontman Adrian James on their originals.
