Daniel Marchand

Story

I started learning folk and rock guitar at the age of 12. I continued my classical guitar training with Jacques Bergeron. Wanting to discover new musical horizons, I begin learning jazz. Wishing to deepen my improvisational skills, I studied at the CEGEP and at the university with the best teachers in Montreal. I also participated in several workshops and private lessons with different professional musicians. Parallel to this academic career, I participate in various musical projects. These experiences, within these various formations, allowed me to play on stages such as the Montreal International Jazz Festival and nights of Africa. Versatile guitarist, I am a musician who has made a career in different musical fields as a soloist and accompanist. The scene occupies an important place in my life, just like teaching!
