Story

Daira Monzón Tejera (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, February 22, 1987) artistically known as Daira Monzón , is a Spanish singer and songwriter who fuses Soul, Pop and Dance genres with some Caribbean genres. She is known for her career in the music industry and entertainment. She began her musical career 19 years ago. What started as a hobby soon became her way of life. Her beginnings, being just a girl, were in a gospel choir. Soon, she became a vocalist for the prestigious The Sugar Hill Band , adopting influences from Soul , R&B and Blues. With all this learning, she used the merge of soul with house and electronic music, becoming "La Reina Del Loveshow", a massive dance-house festival in El Radical, Madrid known for the performance of renowned DJs such as David Guetta, Dennis Ferrer, Carl Cox, Sandy Rivera, Julian Poker... After this electronic adventure, she became the musical director, composer and vocalist of the girl band KALIMA, as well as the main vocalist of international shows in the main casinos of Europe (Slovenia, Italy, Croatia) with Interdance Espectáculos SL. At the end of 2012 , she released her first solo-single and promotional music video, "So Hot (My Baby)" , a dance track with influences from R&B and Progressive House . Co-written and co-produced by herself. In 2013 , she was signed by the Orquesta Panorama as one of the main female vocalists of the show. With this formation she made 4 tours and a musical: The Remember Tour, The Happy Tour, The Dreams Tour, The Deluxe Tour and the Children's Musical Panorama Kids . During these tours she performed an average of 200 shows per year, almost completely covering the Spanish geography, sharing the stage (duets, group performances and backing vocalist) with artists of the stature of: Mónica Naranjo, Cali Y El Dandee, Juan Magán, Pastora Soler, Antonio Orozco, Carlos Baute, Efecto Pasillo, Auryn, Morat... In 2017 she released his second solo single "Summer Love". In 2019 she joined the "Complicado y Complicados Tour" of the Spanish singer Blas Cantó (double platinum record, more than 80 million visits on YouTube and representative of Spain in Eurovision 2020/2021 among other things), touring all of Spain as a backing vocalist. In 2020 / 2021 she was chosen to participate in the prestigious Eurovision Song Contest representing Spain as a backing vocalist in Rotterdam (Netherlands) . In 2021 she participated in the spanish talent show "TopStar: How much is Your Voice?" broadcast on the "Grupo Mediaset España", "Telecinco" where Risto Mejide betted for her voice € 30,000, the maximum amount allowed by the program's rules. On October 29th, her third single, Cruella, was released.
