Richard Alan Krieger "Crane" was the lead singer/bassist/writer of the L.A. rock band Tragicomedy in the 1980's. The group recorded the album "Homage to Nada" on New Alliance/SST Records. He played trumpet and sang back-up vocals with the iconic eclectic L.A. rock band the Minutemen who opened for R.E.M. in 1985. ​ He also played bass with Richard Derrick on guitar in a progressive rock band called Another Umbrella. Crane (bass) and Derrick (drums) sometimes jammed with D. Boon from the Minutemen in a group called Cosmic Joke. ​ He is a multi-instrumentalist whose focus is on songwriting. What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is my life. I love eclectic songwriting in particular. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be able to continue my life long dream to inspire people through my music. ?

What is your music dream?

To be able to make a living from writing and playing music as well as to have my music covered by other recording artists.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Release the "Free Energy Technology" for "We the People!"

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Beatles, Beach Boys, David Bowie, Yes, Pink Floyd, etc.

What inspires you to make music?

That it's healing nature uplifts people's souls.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Peace, Love and the Unity of Humanity.

What do you think of Drooble?

Totally cool people.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

That although it's cool to be known as an "Underground Artist," it would be nicer to inspired a larger audience of people.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Over the years, I have attended numerous music events that feature live music to support my fellow musicians.
