What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is like home. Music is where I find myself in good times and bad times alike. It gives me solace when I'm at my lowest, and it gives me hope when I feel I've lost it. It's my outlet for everything; it's how I decompress, but it's also reinvigorating. It can bring out everything I hold inside and it can express more than words alone could ever hope to. That's what music is to me.

What is your music dream?

I want to relate to others and have others relate to me. I want to create bonds with people through my music as I have with others through their own. I want music to my hobby, my job, and my way of life, and make a comfortable living doing what I love.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Perspectives. So many people see the world in a singular way, and they live their life in an echo-chamber; they don't consider other perspectives and don't care to. I feel that if people were able to walk in other's shoes and see the world through different glasses- we could start to change. We could start to listen. Which is one of the things that makes music so beautiful, it brings people from all different walks of life together- it helps us make connections with others despite our differences.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Oooo, that's a toughie. Probably Mambo No. 5, that was my jam in elementary. As I got older, though, Faint by Linkin Park probably takes the cake.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Look at my influences on my profile, and that about sums it up, save for a couple.

What inspires you to make music?

Life experiences and the desire to express my feelings.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Every song I write has a different meaning and different emotions attached to it, though a lot of it's more on the sad side. But overall, I would say the message I want to send is that 'you're not alone'.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Honestly, that depends on what I'm doing. If I'm drumming, I love it. I love giving energy to the music and adding that intensity that percussion can bring to the table. I haven't performed vocally live though, that terrifies me only becauseI'm very self-conscious about it, but perhaps one day I'll give it a shot.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

SUPPORT. LOCAL. BANDS. AND. ARTISTS. It's tough to get exposure or attention if you're an artist or in a local band, people tend to not take you seriously, at least in my area. I feel like people could find a lot that they like in the local scene, all while supporting the aspirations of musicians in your community.

What do you think of Drooble?

I think it's awesome that musicians have a place where we can communicate and support one another.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Probably the fact that I'm a perfectionist. I never feel that what I make is good enough. I spend so much time trying to fix things that are most likely already good enough or that I could do better, that it either ends up being worse or it just gets put on a shelf and I forget about it.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I go to local shows and buy local merch. I also share events on social media and help try to promote them.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Perseverance, Passion, and Uniqueness. Oh, and can't forget persistent and a little bit obsessive. Haha

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

The Brevet, The Stationary Set, London Grammar, Mad Caddies, and ;)
