Charly Cook

Story

Hi, I'm Charly Cook, and I'm a Guitarist on a Musical Journey Embarking on my musical journey at the age of 7, I discovered the enchantment of David Crosby's iconic album, "If I Could Only Remember My Name." This encounter sparked a passion that has defined my path for over 30 years. Why I found myself next to a folk guitar a few years later, beginning a musical love affair, remains a mystery, perhaps destined to be unsolved. Now, I stand in the spotlight of the music scene. Years of supporting both internationally renowned artists like Branford Marsalis and Trilok Gurtu, and lesser-known talents like Munshy and Mark Alberts, have shaped my musical career. From promotional assistance to label management at Horizon Music, each role has contributed to my unique perspective. I take a leap to the other side of the mirror, offering a musical experience. My dreamy folk, epitomized by the enchanting instrumental track "Rêverie," sets the stage for an upcoming 5-track album. This gentle composition features acoustic instruments like the folk guitar, djembe, and cello. While some may hear echoes of Iron & Wine, Jordan Klassen, and the unmistakable David Crosby, my musical universe is distinct, allowing each listener the freedom to form their own opinion.
