What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is life. Playing music and performing is the only time in life I do not feel stress, I do not hurt, I do not worry. It makes me feel alive and happy. It makes me feel like I belong to something important.

What is your music dream?

For music to be my only job. I would love to no longer have to work a soul sucking day job any longer.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Why would I want to change the world? The world is always changing and evolving. I think we all do our parts to change those around us and I am happy with my contributions to those changes

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Puff the Magic Dragon was a big one in my home. My family loved them some Peter, Paul and Mary.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

I love Clan of Xymox and Virgin Prunes.

What inspires you to make music?

Everything around me. It is in the very fabric of my being

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I want to create an atmosphere with my music. I want people to get a feeling when the hear the music that I write. Since I am not writing vocals (That is someone else's job in my band) I am creating the tension and setting the mood that keeps the listener on the edge of their seat or makes them leave the light on when going to bed.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Alive and at peace

What do you think of Drooble?

Too early to tell (I just hopped on here 10 minutes ago)

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Getting people interested in something new. The genre we are in is predominantly fueled by the early 80's to mid 90's however there has been consistently great music since those times, especially now. People only want what is familiar to them. This is very frustrating

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

We (myself and the singer in my band) regularly go to other bands' shows and events. It is extremely important to build a community and support fellow bands, even if they aren't willing to do the same for your band. We go to dance clubs to hear what people are listening to and enjoying and to support the promotors other endeavors, we go to charity and social events, and to art and media events to support non music artists as well.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

They need to be tireless and willing to work...hard. If they are writing music that they believe in, especially in a genre that isn't readily accessible or on the fringes of society. It isn't just grabbing an instrument, playing some notes and singing before you make it big. It is working hard at it, between networking face to face and through social media, and putting everything you have into something you believe in.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.
