What is music to you? What does it give you?

I see music as a landscaped that fills the air and space. It's been a great creative tool and a feeling of accomplishment.

What is your music dream?

To get more people writing, producing and playing music

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

clean water

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Working Class Hero by John Lennon

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Warren Zevon, The EELs, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, Ramshackle Glory, Johnny Hobo, Wingnut Dishwasher

What inspires you to make music?

Being able to sit down at my DAW knowing I have 4 or 5 hours free. If I can block off Tue, Wed and Thur and try to do maintenance like changing strings, patch cables and housekeeping. I was told it's 2 percent inspiration and 98 percent perspiration.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

"Don't judge me but I write for 8th Grade Gym Class!"

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I'm self taught so every gig is just a live practice. No matter how bad it goes, save your best song for last and get out asap!

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

This is a frightening thought, "musician's reality". I worked with a world class drummer over the years who was just a dick so most people wouldn't deal with him. My advice is "don't be a dick"?

What do you think of Drooble?

I've only been here a week so I don't know exactly what i'm doing here. I write songs because that's the only creative thing I can do that's creative. I may be different because I'm not trying to make a name for myself or compete with anyone.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

growing up poor and not getting the training at a young age

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I repair acoustic guitars for struggling musicians. I cleaned out my shed and donated a PA and guitar amps for an All Girl Band Rehearsal Space.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Know how to not over play and leave them wanting more. Everyone should practice singing and learn what sounds best in their voice. I think times have finally changed and don't pretend you know something about philosophy. Musicians don't care about social issues and neither do the rich people who hire you.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Ramshackle Glory
