Story

I'm 16, so still a fetus pretty much. I like any music I can get my hands off (with exceptions) and I'm just looking for a way to improve my songwriting so I can actually write and record my own music. Here's hoping I find that here!

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is a really important part of my life. I've always been around it, and phases I've gone through have been mostly defined by the music I listen to. It gives me the ability to do something that I love, and try to make something I can be proud of.

What is your music dream?

My dream would be to be able to practice playing and writing music for long enough to make a living off of it, but I don't have enough time right now to do that.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I'd start with the people running it. If we can remove greed, hate and fear from the people who lead us, then we can remove it from ourselves and slowly make the human race something we can all be proud of, instead of the absolute mess we are now.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

I think it would have to be "Somewhere I Belong" by Linking Park. Trust me, I know, but when I was even more of a child than I am now, Linkin Park was a band that I really cared about. I've never been very Emo or edgy, but I've always had a soft spot for this song (though I don't really know the lyrics, I just liked the music).

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Oh man, I can't pick any. In fact, here's a short list of the first bands that popped into my head as some of my favorites (this is in no particular order). Metallica, Linkin Park, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Say Hi, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Snail Mail, Toro y Moi, Chon, Polyphia, Black Sabbath, Conditioner, SALES, AC/DC, Inner Wave, Cage the Elephant, Hiatus Kaiyote, etc, etc.

What inspires you to make music?

Other people, really. Seeing what others make inspires me because I want to be able to make that as well. All the music I hear inspires me to try and make something on my own.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

To tell people everything what I want to hear when I feel like shit, or see that bad stuff happening on the news, or flame wars on the internet, or people arguing and separating themselves for no reason: that it's not just gonna get better, we have to change the fundamentals of how we do things in order to make them better, and fix the mess we've put ourselves in.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Scared, mostly. I only did it once a year ago at a little music camp thing (i was one of like, 3 fifteen year olds out of 15 or so kids, it sucked) and I failed miserably. Haven't had a chance to try since.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Not sure what this question means to be honest...

What do you think of Drooble?

I like it. I wanna try to use it, but I'm bad with actually using social media so let's see how this goes.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Hearing music on the radio. I just get annoyed listening to the same trends and things happening over and over and over again, and no one seems to care for some reason.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

No, but I want to. I just have to get my driver's license and then find out where it is.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

I'm not sure, because I haven't tried anything myself yet.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Okay, Eric Elbogen(Say Hi), The Poolitans(look on SoundCloud), Conditioner, and my absolute favorite band of all time, Hiatus Kaiyote.
