Im a self taught musician never had any lessons, cant read music, been learning how to record and mix music dont have any expensive recording devices or programs, mainly use audacity to record.grew up listening to 80s 90s music, metal, rock, blues and country, and I believe my music shows that in my opinion, Im here to learn and listen and hope to get better as I go along, I write and record alone in my"studio" Thanks to all who some across my insanity, Thank you
Music is my alternate personality, total freedom, every song I ever heard is a piece of artists souls who put them selves out there, that to me make connections to my own and gives the energy and confidence to explore my own soul and the music thats in me, I write songs, looking to create the one song Ive been chasing since I first picked up a guitar, first time I turned on a keyboard, first time I banged on skins, havent found it yet, the search continues
To be someday looked backed on and someday understood, to have a music archeologist someday to dig up a song I wrote and say to someone "listen to this"
End hate and unacceptance
Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath, my dad played it all the time and used to turn it up loud and air perform it to me
Black Sabbath both Ozzy and Dio years, just about all 70s, 80s and 90s metal, rock and blues,
Every song I have and will listen too
Have fun, you dont have to be the best to put it out there, If you have just one person that appreciates that part or parts of you your willing to share than your succesful
Thats a hard one for me, I have played live a few times and have a few live tracks, but Ive been told I need to engage more with an audience
I dont know about improvements, I think the more technical musicians become the less naturality less creative and souless it becomes, music has to be felt physically through the instruments, energy from the physical soul and heart, when I watch a musician play I mean really play its the looks and movements they are projecting the uphoric faces they have on, its a beautiful thing in my opinon, less technology and more rawness would be an improvement
Im not sure about the karma point system yet, I dont have fans dont know that many musicians, Im basically a lone gunman, im not that skilled with a computer, so far me I see some difficulties, but I love the idea of this,
Broken strings, sour notes, doing somethings over and over, my lack of knowledge producing and recording, the sound of my own voice
I live in a small town of just a few hundred people, 26m south of canada 101m northwest of spokane wa, im pretty much isolated, I tend to intimidate other musicians in my area because of some of my styles, ill get together with other musicians but they tend to frown when i crank up the distortion and reverb, theyre banjoes fiddles and harps dont seem to be able to keep so it gets difficult
I dont know about qualities, I believe luck has a lot to do with getting music out there, I mean if one gets lucky enough to be heard by someone who thinks the music is commercially viable and has resources to put it out there than they have a shot as long as fans are respected and engaged, Platforms like Drooble are a good idea for musicians, but some sites get to greedy and want to charge for every little movement of a song, as long as platforms dont get to money hungry and bunkrupt musicians, they could do alot for musicians out there trying
theres me for one, Harry Heathouse, John Kidwell, Zapple pie
