Brian Reynolds

Owner/operater Foggy Mountain Productions

Music has always been my passion from the first time I held drum sticks at age 7, although I never became a great drummer I did learn many instruments from the sax to the bass, acoustic, and electric guitar, and some keyboard. Once I started recording I went deeper into the whole music thing, from 4 track to multiple adats and the giant mixing boards and tons of gear with tons of expense, now due to the computer age I can do more with much less leaving more time spent creating instead of the learning curve. I have had the pleasure of jamming with a lot of people and recording a lot of bands, it is still just play what I feel and feel what I play if it makes you feel better GREAT! Just have fun

I haven't played live in a very long time but as nervous as I use to get it was also the most fun I ever had in music!

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Today music can be streamed all day long for free, the catch 22 for the musician today is that to get noticed, you must play the game of making $ 0, with the hope that someone, somewhere would be willing to pay for what we do, and if you don't post it for free, who will ever hear it?

What do you think of Drooble?

Drooble is a unique site in the fact that you can interact with like-minded people to collaborate with, and a place to post your creative ideas and recordings without paying hard-earned $ for listens. The great part is that the site is what you make it.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The lack of a good outlet to get heard!

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I do, as often as I can, I check out my local music scene.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Learn your craft, timing, tuning, and flow. The sound quality helps as well, there are many sites to help with sound, and in many cases, education is free to get.
