What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music, really, at the core, is just who and what I am. I can't do anything else. I tried to be a soldier. They msde me a guitarist. It gives me peace. Challenges Frustrations. More than anything, a way to communicate. The only time I feel "normal" is when I play

What is your music dream?

Just to make good music and tour as Duran Duran or Ryan Adams guitarist. Paul McCartney...heres my number....

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

American values, but I'm not a politican. Don't wanna be. I'd like to see us united as a country again. Love. Peace.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

2 songs...Got to get you into my life...my babysitter found a copy. Johnny Paycheck Don't Take Her She's All I Got. A lot of live Elvis and Hee Haw.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

wow. Everything. I'm a sponge. I soak up every single thing I hear. RIP it off. and it becomes my style. so here's the top.... Steve Lukather, Don Rich. Larry Carlton, Jerry Reed. David Gimour, Andy Taylor, Andy Summers. Alex Lifeson , Brent Mason, Albert Lee, Reggie Young. Jamie West Oram, Leon Rhoades. Chet Atkins. All the Beatles. XTC. Duran...Bob Wills. Ray Price. Waylon. The Knack. Rush. Iron Maiden. Steely Dan. The Police. Gram Parsons, Stones, Buck Owen's. Pete Anderson.

What inspires you to make music?

I was born into it. I dont know any other life. I literally cannot do anything but music. I joined the Army to fly...wound up being a guitar player in MWR. I play almost anything style wise, so I love doing anything musically. There's two types of music. Good. Bad. I love doing sessions and playing live equally. I gotta do both. I also worked for Line 6 as a Product specialist and I love effects and gear. I've tried to list. but having issues.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

No message. except to illicit a feeling. Messages are for political junk. I'm a guitar picker.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

There's no drug...nothing...that compared with the feeling of being on stage. it's a connection with other musicians that connects with the audience that some how connects to God. it's when I feel right. Btw, I don't do drugs...lol.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Wow, with Covid 19, its really changed. Plus, home recording has leveled the playing field good and bad.

What do you think of Drooble?

Drooble seems interesting so far. It seems like more of a musicians platform. At least thats how Im viewing it.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Other musicians. Not all of them. Just the ones who we all know and avoid. Lol.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yes. I went to jams and buddies shows. I'd guest if asked.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Be nice. Be funny. Melody. Chops...everyone has chops. Even instrumentals need hooks. If the common man hum it, its memorable...hook it.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

I can't think of any...everyone knows everyone. Im crossing my play lists between old Duran, Ryan Adams, Gram Parsons, Rush and Toto.
