Music to me is like oxygen. It allows me to breathe.
I just want to play live and make living doing it. I don't care about fame or huge fan base. I just want to play and if I touch people or they are inspired by something I sing or play, great.
Caring about others
One Tin Soldier
Eagles, Bonnie Rait, Beatles, Carole King,
To be honest, I guess bad times or controversy
There is hope, love and inspiration
To be honest, I feel nervous, scared mixed with adrenaline and hope, excitement and love.
The reality of most musicians is probably not that different than the past. It all depends on popularity. It rarely has anything to do with pure talent. It has to do with a fan base. Do people like you? Do you speak to them? The songs you are singing have to speak to people. I think poets who sing will ultimately be the biggest winners. This has always been the way of music. Do you have something to say that is worth putting into music?
So far, it has been an encouraging venue for me as I am not technicologicaly savvy, but I like the encouragement that I am getting from o obviously super talented musicians. I can't hold a candle to them and they are being encouraging to me so that is helpful to my ego and getting me to continue making music.
That I don't have the discipline to keep learning new things on my instrument.
I try to....I feel I could do better.
Courage
I don't know.....I heard a song recently by someone named Solemn Gray that was amazing. I love to listen to songs from movies and tv series.
