Bio

- Born and raised in Blagoevgrad, Southwestern Bulgaria; - Started playing the piano at the age of 6; - Have taken part in concerts as a pianist on a regular basis, including three own recitals; - Studied for a BMus degree at the University of Huddersfield, UK (2010-2013) with main subject composition; - Started a MMus degree in Composition at National Music Academy in Sofia, BG in 2014 and will graduate in March 2017; - Have played in rock bands twice - in 2008 with fellow instrumentalists from the Arts Centre in my hometown and in 2010-11 with other students from the University of Huddersfield; - Compositions include solo, chamber pieces and a piano concerto; - Experienced with performing solo in restaurants - evergreens, piano covers of famous rock and pop songs and classical pieces.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

To me music is everything - my passion, my biggest love, the reason I wake up in the morning. It gives me a lot of pleasure and motivation to keep on developing in the search for perfection and the sublime :)

What is your music dream?

To make more sophisticated music like jazz and classical music listened and understood by as many people as possible.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would start with changing the music taste of people who can't distinguish true art from mediocre music.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

ABBA - Money, money

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Musical artists: Jon Lord, Zaz, Freddie Mercury among many others. Fav bands: Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Deep Purple, White Snake, Muse among many others :)

What inspires you to make music?

The drive to create something new and original.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

There are more ideas worth sharing through music which haven't been shared yet.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Excited and happy, but always very serious about it.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Many things could and should be improved, but to put it short - more diversity and more equal opportunities for artists and different genres are needed.

What do you think of Drooble?

It is a great social network for musicians and I hope it gets known by more of us worldwide.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Noticing the lack of knowledge and interest of people in the diversity of musical genres.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I go to concerts of musicians who deserve attention, no matter if I have or haven't got anybody to go with :)

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Awereness about the tastes of people and about the best ways to attacts the listeners' attention on the Internet.
