I'm sort of a retired musician, I played in local night clubs for a few years and then played in the church band for a few more years. I don't do any of that anymore but I still like to pick up my guitar about once a day. I enjoy all styles of music but my main genre would be "soft rock". From time to time I'll discover a melody or rhythm I like and record it. I also have a few home studio recordings I would like to share on Drooble. I might be interested in collaborating with someone of similar likes or styles.
Music is a great mystery. What is it about certain sound vibrations in the air that can reach my ear and create a mood? Why does it sound good or bad to me? Why isn't it all just noise? But certain note combinations, chord progressions, beats, all has the ability to resonate with the human soul.
When I was younger I may have thought about becoming musically successful. As I have grown older the odds of that really happening has changed my expectations. Now I just enjoy listening to a new song that strikes me or maybe an old song I forgot about. And maybe writing a #1 hit...
Wow, what a question.....I think everyone would answer close to the same thing. World peace, food and shelter for everyone....and everyone has their own beach house.....no hurricanes.....
Three Bells by the Browns or Young Love by Sonny James. Talk about giving away my age.....
I don't really have a favorite favorite. When I was younger I was a Beatle fan. I liked Donovan, Crosby Stills Nash Young, Sting, the Doors, Led Zeppelin, James Gang,James Taylor, Carol King, many others. One of the newer ones would be Camila Cabello.....I like some classical music as well..
Listening to a really cool song.....
Not so much a message but a "feeling". A mood, something that is relaxing or uplifting. Or maybe thought provoking....
Ha ha! nervous......
It's a completely changed battle field. Computers, the internet, social media. On the one hand, it's easier for musicians to record their own stuff and get a decent sound. But also it's the same as always, trying to get that lucky break....
I like Drooble, it's cool to share something I'm interested in with other musicians. You can make Drooble what you want it to be. If you work hard and use Drooble as a tool you may get ahead in your exposure. Or you can enjoy just sharing with other musicians, listening, collaborating, whatever
Being a one man band trying to record all the different parts.
Not very often I'm afraid. Probably should .
Well, observing the ones who have "made" it, it would be charisma, showmanship, natural talent, hard worker, lots of energy....
I've heard some pretty awesome artists on Drooble, but obviously, you've already heard of them.....you ever heard of JustinGuitar on youtube? He's pretty cool.....
