Bethany Saint-Smith is a singer/ songwriter/ musician heavily influenced by blues and rock and roll. Born in Modesto, California, lived in San Francisco and moved to New York City, which is where she has spent the majority of her music life and currently lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Andrés Rexach is a guitarist/ songwriter/ singer and producer is mainly and deeply influenced by blues and rock but also by flamenco, latin, jazz, indian and, of course, tango music. Born in Temperley, Argentina, lived in Madrid, Spain where he develops much of his musical carrer and recently returned to Argentina. When November 2016 arrived, they meet each other online and they began to write a song together. The new blues project began. Ten days later, the album was written and composed. Since then, Bethany and Andrés, now formally known as ‘SAINT-SMITH & REXACH’, have been working on their first album “Blues-Harmony-Sur VOL#I”, an album of original songs that finished recording in March, are currently mixing and will be mastered by Achim Wierschem at Arkana Studio, Düsseldorf, Germany and will be released in mid-April. ‘BluesHarmonySur VOL#I’ will feature Bethany Saint-Smith on vocals, Andrés Rexach on guitar and vocals, Daniel Volpini on drums and Facundo Ciminelli on bass. Recorded and produced in La Guitarrería by Andrés Rexach. And while we wait for the release of their album, Bethany and Andrés, the real blues makers will continue writing, composing and generating projects of which they themselves comment, "Now that we have finished recording the album, we will take the next steps... We need to do it and BHS-VOL#I LIVE is happening now. We want to perform this album live and capture in video the freedom, expression and emotion of live music to share it with everyone, because that's blues"- says Andrés. "The blues stays with you, no matter the path or road it brought you down, we will continue to breathe it and live it through our work," comments Bethany. This project will feature all the songs on the album plus some surprises.
